Dear au pair, we would be delighted if you would become part of our lively family for about a year. We live in the very multicultural and lively Neukölln district of Berlin. Our apartment is in a beautiful old building, and a two-room attic apartment is available for our au pair. We are looking for an au pair who enjoys communicating and enjoys everyday life with two communicative and creative children. Our children's school is a five-minute walk from our apartment; you will pick up the children every day around 4 p.m. and look after them until the evening, cycle to swimming lessons, and finish homework with them. An older brother (12 years old) also lives in the household but no longer requires supervision or can even be of help. We usually start the afternoon with a snack together, then we go out to various activities and end the day with dinner together. Breakfast with us as a family is not planned for you. Lunch sometimes happens, depending on our daily schedule. Every now and then we need your help with childcare in the evenings or on weekends, but we will give you advance notice. We usually all meet on Sunday evenings for dinner and plan the week ahead. As a family, we also regularly spend time outdoors on weekends and on vacation during school holidays. These times are at your disposal and for your own plans; you can accompany us at any time, but are not required. Our apartment is very well connected to public transport (underground and buses) in Berlin; we will provide you with your own bike, and a great language school is a 3-minute walk from our apartment. Neukölln is a district with lots of bars, art and culture, and good Arabic food. All the shops you need for daily needs are 1-5 minutes away from our apartment. A communicative atmosphere is important to us, and you contribute to our everyday family life as a person. We are a very communicative family and would like an au pair who is also communicative, so that our children can improve their English skills with you in a playful way and you can learn and improve German with them and us.
