Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We live in a small village on the Southern Wine Route. There are vineyards everywhere around us.
The next largest city is Landau in der Pfalz. Here I (mom) work at the university. There is of course a bus connection, but we also provide a car. In addition to a variety of shopping opportunities, Landau also offers a special flair for relaxing and enjoying.
My husband works in the nearby city of Karlsruhe. Everything you could want in a big city can be found here. By car it takes about 25 minutes.

Job Description

Our future au pair should:
- help look after our children. When there are no holidays, the main working hours during the week are from lunch to dinner.
- It is particularly important for us that our future au pair enjoys playing with the children, going on special trips or doing sports together.
- Support with trips related to the children: dropping off/picking up from friends.
- Preparing meals together whenever possible. We view our au pair as a family member, not as an employee.
- Assistance with housework. Laundry, sorting the children's clean laundry, vacuuming regularly, sprucing up the children's rooms and kitchen every now and then.
- By arrangement, our au pair should be there early for the children, especially on Saturdays.

It is important to us that our future au pair enjoys working with children.

You have to be able to get involved with the children and be a good role model and a good friend for them. Be responsible and loving. And please leave your cell phone in the room sometimes :-)

Accommodation

In the summer we will renovate again so that our future au pair will have her own room with a bathroom. This is in the annex, so rather separate. Of course we will equip the room with everything you need. If something is still missing - just talk to us. In the house we also have two fully equipped bathrooms.
Of course we have internet and telephone.
