Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au pair,
we are an international family living in Denmark, outside Copenhagen.
We cannot guarantee a fully Danish traditional family because we are more of an international mix
Mom is half Italian and half Austrian, Dad is Danish.
We have 2 children and one cat. Kannan is 10 years old and Celeste 5½ , Vincent the cat is 14 and very verbal but minds his own business. The kids can't be more different, the boy (who has light developmental delays) is the quiet and nerdy type who likes reading a lot and now is into football!! The girl is a whirlwind, always filled with fun ideas, likes dancing and singing. Both kids are kind and respectful!
Mom and Dad have established the very first Montessori school in Denmark, the mom is the principal and the children attend the school daily.
We are a pretty quiet family, working a lot!
We live on the banks of a beautiful lake, we love nature and get our batteries recharged when we do spend time outside.
We do not drink alcohol, don't smoke and don't party.... a bit on the boring side!
The adults are vegetarians, children eat a bit of meat and salmon.
We need a helping hand with the children and the house. It would be an asset if the au pair is familiar with the Montessori pedagogy and is a good cook. We will need help during the weekend but will compensate with giving free days during the week instead.
We are flexible and would plan together with the au pair what works best for both parties.
It takes a village to raise children, since we do not have family around, we do not have that village! We are looking for a person who can be that support for our family and be part of our family... like a big sister/brother or an aunt/uncle to our children.
The Au pair we are looking for should feel comfortable in doing some cleaning, tidying up and cook sometimes, be independent and fun to be around with.
We are a warm family that will open our doors and our hearts to a new member!
