Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

** please only contact me if you have the right to work in the UK (work visa or settled status)**

Hi!

We live in our own home in Halesowen, in the suburbs of Birmingham which is the 2nd city in the UK. There isn't much to do in Halesowen per se, it is very quiet and safe, but there is a big shopping center walking distance from the house, with a lovely waterfront, cinemas, arcades, restaurants and shops. On the opposite of the shopping center there is a natural reserve where we often go on little hikes. There is also a gym 2 min walk from the house.

Within walking distance from home there is a train station that takes you straight to Birmingham city center, where you will find anything and everything. Birmingham is incredibly multicultural, and fun fact, it has more miles of canals than Venice! The city center is vibrant and beautiful, full of shops and restaurants and life!

Our house is not the biggest, but we do have a nice little garden which get to enjoy as often as we can!

Job Description

We ideally want someone who will become part of the family so taking care of the kids will not be seen as a chore.

In terms of childcare, we need someone who can work Mon-Wednesday from 7am-5pm. This will include walking our 4yo and our 9yo to and from their local school in the morning and afterschool, and take care of our 2 year-old during these days. You will be free Thursday-Sunday and every evening, other than maybe the odd time when we book other shifts at the same time. I am a teacher and I will be only working 3 days a week, but as a photographer, I might also book a couple of Fridays during the year for weddings. These occasions will be paid extra of course.

We will be traveling back from Canada during the Christmas holiday, and I aim to start work with the new term in January so we would need someone who can be there soon after the new year, and to stay at least until the end of the school year, at the end of July.
