Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

Welcome to our family, we can't wait to share this experience together.

We know that moving to a new country and living with a new family can be exciting and, at times, a little scary. We want you to know that we are here to support you every step of the way. Our home is also your home, and we hope you will soon feel at ease.

We are looking for a wonderful Au Pair/Mothers Help to join our family in country home in-between Bristol and Bath. My partner and I live with our young boys and are looking to support the elder two (6 and 3.5) who are both in school/preschool, and will need some help dropping them off in the mornings and sometimes picking them up from school - although I like to try and do the pick up myself :).

Our amazing au pair is sadly due to leave at the end of August after a wonderful year with us so we are looking for someone who can help support us, primarily with the two elder boys.

The job would include helping the boys to get ready in the mornings and preparing breakfast for them and dropping them off at school on Monday to Friday, weekends would be your own.

This would include pick up from school at 5pm on some days, preparing dinner for them, occasionally supporting with bathtime and clearing up after the boys dinner / putting toys away. This also include a small amount of light housework. There would also be one evening per week of babysitting. It is essential you would be able to drive the school is a 30 mins drive (same location for both boys).

We currently live in a village called Bishop Sutton in a beautiful country house accessed via a long tree lined drive. The house has walking routes surrounding it, paddocks with animals in it and it is walking distance to local shops and amenities. It is a 25 min car ride from the beautiful cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells.

You will have your own room and bathroom, wifi, TV, sky, fridge etc and have access to everything in the house.

We are a fun and sociable household and looking for someone kind and to join our family for a short while.

Job Description

I would like someone to be up at 6:45am to prepare the older boys breakfast breakfast (cereal, scrambled egg), clear up after them, get them dressed and ready to leave the house by 7:30am. Drop off at the school will be required most days.

After they leave, tidy their room and their beds, and help for an hour with light housework (washing their clothes, putting their clothes away).

They are at school all day until 5pm , some days either my partner or myself will pick up the boys (probably 3 days a week) when we are in the office. I would like someone to pick the boys up the other days.

When the boys arrive home, prepare their dinner and sometimes help with bathtime. There would be one evening a week where we would be out and bedtime would also be required (most likely Thursday).

Accommodation

We currently live in Bishop Sutton, this is in the countryside with lots nearby. There is a tennis club across the road, lots of beautiful areas for walking or cycling and it is very close to Bath, Bristol and Wells, all beautiful cities with everything you could need.

We have two very cute little rabbits that live between our shed and our conservatory depending on how warm it is in the summer. They do not come into the main house.

Our Au Pair will have her own room and bathroom, wifi, TV, sky, fridge etc and have access to everything in the house.
