Dear Future Au Pair,

Welcome to our family! We are beyond excited to begin this journey with you and to welcome you into our lives.

We are a family of six—two parents who split time between California and Minnesota—and four amazing boys: Baylor (9), Psalm (almost 5), and our twins, Bennett and Pope (almost 4). Life in our home is vibrant, full of energy, and always moving—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

As a family, we love being outside—whether it’s exploring nature, going on beach days, or simply playing in the yard. We love to swim, entertain friends and family, try new foods, and learn about other cultures. We hope to share that joy and curiosity with you—and we also hope you’ll share your own culture and ideas with us too.

We’re looking for someone who will engage with our boys in meaningful ways: teaching them new things, playing with them often, taking them on outdoor adventures, and making room for fun and discovery in their days. The ideal person for our family is kind, patient, and confident behind the wheel—we’ll need you to drive the boys to outings or activities from time to time.

Your primary responsibilities will center around the kids: keeping them safe, engaged, and supported. When we’re working, we’d love your help in maintaining the house with the kids—helping them build habits around cleaning up, staying organized, and taking care of their space.

We’re so looking forward to meeting you, learning about your background and experiences, and giving you a home away from home. Most of all, we’re excited to share our wonderful boys with you—they’re curious, silly, loving, and full of personality.

Job Description

As our au pair, your primary focus will be caring for our four boys—Baylor (9), Psalm (5), and twins Bennett and Pope (4). We’re looking for someone who is warm, dependable, and proactive in creating a safe, engaging, and joyful environment for the kids. Below is a more detailed breakdown of your responsibilities:

Childcare
• Supervise and engage with the boys throughout the day (especially while we are working).
• Plan fun, creative, and educational activities—both indoors and outdoors.
• Take the boys on outings (to the park, beach, museums, or playdates).
• Transport them to and from school, sports, or other scheduled activities (valid driver’s license required).
• Help with morning and after-school routines, including dressing, meals, homework (for Baylor), and bedtime prep if needed.

Meals & Cooking (for the kids)
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the boys during your working hours.
• Occasionally prep or heat up simple dinners when needed.
• Keep the kids’ eating areas clean and encourage healthy habits at mealtimes.

Light Housekeeping (kid-related)
• Help the boys tidy up after playtime and meals.
• Keep their bedrooms and common play areas organized and clean.
• Assist with kids’ laundry—washing, folding, and putting clothes away.
• Teach and encourage the boys to participate in basic chores and responsibility around the house.

General Expectations
• Be a positive role model—patient, kind, and enthusiastic.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with us as parents.
• Participate in family activities and outings when you’d like—we’re excited to share our life with you.
• Be flexible, adaptable, and willing to grow together as we navigate life with four energetic boys!
