Dear future au pair or granny au pair,

We would like to give you a detailed overview of the tasks and expectations we have of you, as well as the experience and skills you should ideally bring with you.

Tasks:

Childcare: You will spend a lot of time with our three boys – our oldest son is 3 years old, and the twins are newborns. Your responsibilities will include playing with our children, helping them learn and develop, and keeping them entertained. We particularly value loving and patient care that understands their needs and desires.

Small household chores: We would appreciate your support around the house, such as tidying up, vacuuming, doing laundry, and other light tasks. Preparing small meals for the children is also part of the package. We value someone who could ideally take on these tasks reliably.

Cooking: It would be wonderful if you could also help with cooking – especially preparing healthy meals for the children or a family dinner. Experience in preparing meals is an advantage, but not a requirement, as we're happy to try out new recipes together.

Outings and Leisure Activities: We are an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors. You will join us on outings, such as walks in the nearby forest, visits to the playground, or even short trips to Mainz. It would be great if you enjoy accompanying us on these activities and developing new ideas for leisure activities with the children.

Experience and Skills:

Experience in caring for children is desirable, but not essential. It is important to us that you have a heart for children and are willing to respond to their needs.

You should have a certain degree of initiative and independence, especially when organizing daily activities and short outings.

Empathy, patience, and an open, friendly nature are very important to us.

You should be reliable and responsible, especially when dealing with children.

Basic knowledge of preparing simple meals is an advantage, but not a requirement—especially if you're interested in learning new things.

Expectations:

We're looking for someone who's not just there as a "helper," but as a new family member who supports us and helps shape our daily routine. We want you to feel comfortable with us and become a part of family life.
