Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi, we are a couple who just had a child in November 2024. We live in the centre of Bolzano,a cosy town in the heart of the Dolomites, where you can enjoy breathtaking views directly from the city centre. Perfect for those who want to enjoy nature & mountains.
The region is historically a bilingual region (Italian/German), so it is not strictly necessary to speak Italian to communicate. Also for this reason we are looking preferably for a German mother tongue AuPair because we would like the bilingualism not to be an obstacle for our little one.
We are not originally from Bolzano so on weekends/days of smart working we often move to Udine/Trieste/Belluno/Anguillara Veneta (province of Padova) to go to our relatives, for those who love to travel a great opportunity to discover the North-East on weekends.

Job Description

We already found an AuPair until July 2025, so we are looking for someone from August 2025 to July 2026, for us it would be ideal to find someone who stays with us for the entire year. We need someone who takes care of Alvise for aroud 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. I work in the hospital in Merano, about 30' drive from Bolzano. Andrea works in Bolzano at the university and has flexible working hours depending on his schedule and can possibly work from home.

We are not very urban so it is nicer to spend time with us if you like sports and being outdoors. When the weather does not allow us to be outdoors we like to see exhibitions, museums and cultural tourism in general. Of course you don't have to spend weekends with us if you feel like travelling or doing something else.

Accommodation

Our apartment in Bolzano is not very large so we decided to organize a studio apartment not far from home to give privacy and nighttime tranquility to who will come to help us. The studio apartment is located 5-10' by bike and 15-20' on foot from our house in the historic center of the city, we live about 2 km from the center in a peri-central area.
The studio apartment consist of a bathroom, a kitchenette and sleeping space. This solution clearly also leaves room to receive visits from friends/relatives. There is also a bike available at the studio to move around the city.
