Welcome to our future au pair! We can't wait to start a new adventure and discovery :).

We have been welcoming au pairs in our cocoon and charming little village in the heart of the mountains for four winter seasons, we are four families in the village to welcome au pairs.

During the winter seasons we work a lot given the significant tourist traffic coming to enjoy the setting and winter activities (skiing in all its forms, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, snowmen and snowball fights, dog sledding etc.)

Here the mountains and the snow are the queens.

The nearest bus/train station is in Modane (45 minutes by car).
The nearest airport is in Lyon (3 hours by train or car).
Language courses are to be done via the website.

Qualities sought from the au pair: Kindness, humor, gentleness, benevolence, respect.

The position is limited to taking care of our children:

-Play, dance, laugh, sing, create, draw, tinker with them, give them attention. 30 minutes max of TV per day or none at all. No cartoons or other things on the phone.

-Go back and forth between school/home or home/ski lessons (5 to 10 minutes on foot, or possibility of taking the village shuttle).

-Feed them lunch and sometimes in the evening if we come home too late.

-Toilet/shower/bath time.

- Put them to bed some evenings (when we are too tired or if we go out).

- Cook if I haven't had time.

The working time per week is around 30 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on school holidays.

We give 400€ per month, possibility of extra cleaning of rental apartments and/or ski outings or other activities at our expense.
