Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au Pair,

Welcome to our family!

We are a warm and welcoming family of four living in a beautiful villa community on Yingbin Peninsula, just outside of Haikou, Hainan, China. We have two lovely twin daughters, Suzanna and Yolanda, born in January 2025. We are looking for an au pair to join our family and help introduce our babies to English from an early age through daily interaction, songs, and play.

Our home is spacious, peaceful, and close to the sea. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood with beautiful surroundings. Although not in the city center, we are well-connected by public transport, and there are language schools nearby should you wish to take courses during your stay.

We already have a full-time nanny who is responsible for feeding the babies and doing baby exercises with them, and another housekeeper who cooks for the family. Your main responsibility would be to spend time with the babies and speak to them in English—no heavy housework is required.

We have a car and are happy to let you use it when needed. We hope you’ll enjoy life in China and become part of our family.

Job Description

Your main role will be to expose our babies to English in a natural and fun way—through playing, reading, singing, and daily interaction. You are not expected to handle baby feeding or physical care, as we have a full-time nanny for that.

We ask for around 30–40 hours per week, with flexible time off. You will also have the option to attend language classes if you wish.

You will have your own private bedroom in our villa, with Wi-Fi and a quiet, comfortable environment. We also have a car available for your personal use, if needed.
