Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi!

I am a single mom of 2 very rambunctious and active little boys. Their dad and I have been separated for 5 years. He is pretty active in their lives and we get along well. He, however, is not very responsible, so I am pretty much their only responsible parental figure.

My parenting style is not very strict, but you are welcome to interact with my children however you see fit. If I choose you as the au pair to come and stay with my family, I will trust you in making alot of those decisions. They will try to test your limits at first, don't let them. Haha

Almost everything you would need is within walking distance of my house. There is a walking path to my kids' school from my backyard that goes through the golf course to their school. All of their sporting activities are at the high school, which is across the street from my neighborhood. The national tractor pulling competition and our county fair are held every August within walking distance from my house. On the other side of the golf course is the city park, which also has a water park, skate park, and sports complex. We have the best bars and coffee shops in the center of town. The college is on the other side of town, so there are always activities going on here.

If the boys and I go do things when I am off of work, you will always be welcome to join us but youre not obligated to.

You would be expected to do some light cleaning and taking care of my kids while I'm working: getting them to and from sporting activities and school, cooking for them, and making sure they get their homework done after school.

Accommodation

You would have your own bedroom, that you may decorate however you wish. There is a 1/2 bath on the main floor that you may designate as yours, but youd have to go upstairs to shower. I will get you a television and laptop when you arrive. My household has wifi, all of the gaming systems you could imagine, central air and heat. If you have your drivers license, I will get you a vehicle to drive while you are stateside. Anything else you'd need, just ask.
