Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Originally translated from Deutsch
Dear au pair,

We are now looking for an au pair for our German-Russian family (consisting of mom, dad, daughter and son).

My wife Julia is the Russian part of our family and mostly speaks Russian with the children. I also took Russian lessons, but still have problems speaking Russian fluently. We currently live alternately in Russia and Germany. Our children grow up bilingual.

My wife is the owner of a travel agency for German-speaking tourists in Moscow (www.iwir.de and www.iwir.ru) and, in addition to Russian, speaks German and English fluently.

I am an insurance salesman and have an insurance office in Germany. Both Julia and I can work from virtually anywhere in the world.

Our daughter Katharina is 5 years old and switches fluently back and forth between German and Russian.
Our son Maximilian is 3 years old.

Both children go to kindergarten in Germany from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (on Fridays only until 2:00 p.m.).

When we are in Moscow, we bring one of the children to our nanny and one is with us or with the au pair.

We travel a lot and we are looking for an AuPair who would also like to discover the world.

For example, our current au pair was with us in Dubai.

Your age is irrelevant to us (as long as you are within the age range for the au pair program). What is important to us is that you are ready and reliable and that you want to be part of our family!

It is also important that you have no problem with being in Moscow more often. We have an apartment there and you also have your own room there. The temporary stay in our rural home in East Westphalia shouldn't put you off either.

Health insurance and language courses as well as pocket money are a given!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards currently from Germany

Stefan

Addition:
Language skills in Russian are also highly desirable.
It is also necessary that the au pair, if possible, comes from a country whose citizens do not require a visa for Russia.

Job Description

Our experience report:
The annual period for our au pair from Tajikistan ended on December 19th. After we first had bad luck with a girl from Kyrgyzstan three years ago (who didn't want to be an AuPair) and our next AuPair from Tajikistan accepted a vacant FSJ position after just 7 months, we were little illusioned. What can you say now? We were absolutely lucky. Our AuPair has become an integral part of our family. It is 100% reliable. We never set a stopwatch and luckily neither did our au pair. As a fully integrated family member, the time would have been difficult to define. Our au pair was always at our side, even if the vacation quickly cost twice as much (because of course she needed her own room). We paid for our AuPair to take very good online German courses (currently 1.5 hours three times a week). She is constantly learning, even though she also speaks Russian perfectly in addition to Farsi and our children also speak Russian. Without FSJ it starts directly on February 1st. in training to become a “health nurse”. She is completing her training around 150 km away from us, as she will be sharing a flat with her sister there. She was also previously an AuPair and is now training to become a “dental assistant” in an FSJ. Both great girls. Both very determined. By the way: although she is a practicing Muslim and we are Christians, everything went smoothly (even swimming in a burkini).
About us again: we are a German-Russian family and (still) commute back and forth between two places of residence - Siddessen in East Westphalia with under 500 inhabitants and Moscow in Russia with more than 15 million inhabitants. Our children are 3 and 5 years old and are currently attending the German daycare center. Our daughter will start elementary school in August 2024. We have not yet finally decided whether we really want to start school in Germany or whether we should choose the German school in Moscow a year later (there are different school starting ages). My wife runs a travel agency in Moscow and I run an insurance agency in Siddessen.
If you can imagine being part of our family for a year, we look forward to receiving your application.
You should come from the CIS countries and speak good Russian. We look forward to your message.
LG currently from Siddessen!
