Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Originally translated from Français
Our au pair is returning to school and is leaving us at the beginning of July. After a wonderful year together, we would like to repeat this experience, for ourselves and especially for our children, starting in August 2025.
We are undertaking this process with the aim of having a cultural exchange and a trustworthy person to look after our children.

During our travels (New Caledonia, New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, Japan, and other European countries), we loved sharing our culture and learning about the locals' culture.

We are looking for an independent person with experience in childcare, who will know how to balance authority and connection with the children.

We love our region and its culinary culture. The children love helping us cook.
If you would like to discover French and Breton culture, don't hesitate to send us a message!

Accommodation

Originally translated from Français
We live in a house in downtown Brest, Brittany. The children's school is a 5-minute walk away, as are the bus and tram stops.
The house is divided into 3 levels. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms (yours and the children's) and a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet (shared with the children).
The bedroom is located on the first floor and is approximately 16m². It has a desk, a smart TV, Wi-Fi access, a double bed, and two dressers.
On the ground floor, there is our kitchen, living room, a toilet, the parents' area, and a veranda with access to the garden.
We have a basement with a home theater and dining room.

All rooms in the house are accessible except for the master bedroom. The children's schedule is simple. In the morning, they get up at 7:30 a.m., then eat breakfast, brush their teeth, and get dressed. School is a 5-minute walk from home and starts at 8:30 a.m.
Roxane and Alexandre eat lunch in the cafeteria.
We have to pick them up from school at 4:30 p.m. Once they get home, they have their snacks. Roxane has about 15 minutes of homework, while Alexandre plays or colors.
They take their bath around 6:00 p.m. and dinner is served around 7:00 p.m.
Bedtime is quick and easy; after brushing their teeth, we read them a story and let them read independently for 15 minutes. The day ends at 8:00 p.m./8:30 p.m. On Wednesdays, the children are at school from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, they have climbing lessons from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
We would like to see them help with household chores related to the children (putting away the children's things, emptying/loading the dishwasher, doing the children's laundry, tidying the bedroom and bathroom, etc.)
