Dear Au Pair,

Welcome to our family! We’re thrilled to share an exciting year with you, filled with cultural exchange and new memories. You’ll experience life in America, and we’ll learn about your culture, welcoming you as family. We’re the Selz family, living in Jackson, Mississippi, a vibrant city with rich Southern history, music, and family-friendly attractions.

We’re Chet, Kylie, and our one-year-old, Lily. Chet works full-time from home, and Kylie balances law school and part-time work. Lily is our joy—outgoing, curious, and smart, she loves exploring, reading, and being outside. She eats a natural, no-preservative, no-pork, no-sugar diet and takes two daily naps. No pets, but our home is full of love and Lily’s energy.

We need help Monday–Friday, 7:00–9:00 AM to 5:00–7:00 PM, and occasionally part-day Saturdays. Your day might include preparing Lily’s meals (e.g., fruit or oatmeal), reading, or outdoor play to spark her curiosity. Chet’s home for support, and Kylie’s schedule relies on you to keep Lily engaged. We provide a laundry service for your and Lily’s clothes, internet, extra computers, and a car for errands or classes at nearby colleges like Jackson State University. Weekends are for family outings to parks or events, and you’re welcome to join, though we respect your personal time.

Our ideal au pair loves spending time with curious kids, fostering Lily’s potential through play and learning, and teaching her a second language. We seek someone kind yet challenging, pushing Lily intellectually and developmentally. Open communication is key—come to us with any questions. We’re excited to make you feel at home and create lasting memories together!
