Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Thank you for taking the time to view our profile! We understand it's hard to get work in the UK as an au-pair because the government has stopped issuing visas. Some people will still be able to work here though, so if you have the necessary documents please contact us!

We are a warm, happy, and fun-loving family of four: Mark, Mirry, Raffy, and Remy. Our children, aged 13 and 11, are polite, self-sufficient, and a joy to be around. We've previously hosted and had a wonderful experience with Kasia, who seamlessly became part of our family. We're thrilled to share that she has now completed her law degree, graduating with First Class Honours, and we couldn’t be prouder of her achievements.

You will have your own separate annexe with a private kitchen and bathroom, ensuring your comfort and privacy. We will also provide you with a car to help you get around. Our home is situated on the outskirts of Bristol, a fantastic city in the South West of the UK. The city centre is just a 30-minute bus ride away, with a bus stop conveniently located right outside our house. Bristol is known for its vibrant international student community and is consistently ranked among the top 10 European cities to live in. Our location also offers easy access to both the seaside and stunning countryside.

We both have busy careers and are looking for someone who can become a friend and mentor to our children, sharing your culture and experiences with them. We need assistance with school runs, which involve a 20-minute drive, as well as preparing a meal for the children when they return home and helping with some light household tasks.

We also have two cats and an adorable fluffy dog who loves his walks. We’re fortunate to live near some beautiful places where you can enjoy strolls with him. We have large garden where we have an orchard full of fruit trees and lots of space to relax and enjoy.

Job Description

It's really important that you love children and are a safe and careful driver. You need to have a valid driving licence, as the children will need a lift to and from school. A car will be provided for your use, which you can also use as your own. It's around a 20 minute drive depending on traffic.

Would be great if you enjoy walking, as our fluffy teddy bear of a dog, Chorley, needs a daily stroll of about an hour.

There will be some light household chores, but nothing too demanding. We simply need you to keep the kitchen tidy and manage a few small tasks, but we don't expect you to maintain the entire house or do any ironing.

Once the children have been dropped off at school and Chorley has had his walk, the day is essentially yours until it's time to pick up the children. After school, we’d like you to prepare them a snack or meal as they’re always ravenous! Then, spend some time with them, helping with homework, and just being a friendly companion.

Mirry and I will usually be around and will often take care of cooking dinner for everyone, though we may ask for your help from time to time.
