Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair, I DO NOT have children, I am looking for help with my dogs

I have 6 dogs - 2 small size and older, 2 medium and 2 large size dogs

One of the smallest dogs had several surgeries and needs a bit of extra care. I sometimes rescue and/or foster dogs in great need (small puppies or injured dogs) until they heal/get ready to leave to the adoptive families we find for them.

We live in a village in Romania, so you need to have a driving license so you can move around freely and also fulfil the au pair related tasks, such as driving the dogs to the vet etc. You will have use of my car (also in your time off, upon agreement)

Pocket money is negotiable depending on the length of stay, experience with dogs, tasks to be fulfilled etc, we will discuss this during the online interviews.

You need to be self sufficient and love to spend time by yourself, reading, doing yoga, meditation etc, as this is a village and nothing to do around. Plenty of things to go and see around if you drive a car.

Job Description

The help involves giving a helping had with the dogs and dog sitting when I am away, playing, doing activities that help with their training, occasional walking, feeding and cleaning, sometimes maybe cooking food for them, playing outside in the garden etc

The dogs stay inside at night, they have special sleeping places but they have access pretty much everywhere, so some daily cleaning will be involved (vacuuming, cleaning hair, chancing bed covers etc). We will do this either separate or together, we divide all tasks.

I would love for you to have some experience with dogs. But if not, a big innate LOVE for animals is all that I'm looking for. You need to be loving, caring and patient with them.

I will also teach you everything you need to do with them and I am at home most of the time anyway as I work from home, so we have time to take it slowly. I was an au pair myself so I will try to make your experience as pleasant as possible. You will be like part of the family for us and we expect the same from you.

We will need to cook for the dogs, cook for us, go shopping for us and the dogs, do some daily training with them (don't worry if you don't have experience or knowledge, I will teach you and we also have a dog trainer).

I will be away for extended periods of time from time to time (a few days, a week, a month etc depending on my job) and I expect you to deal with the house and the dogs by yourself, and you will be paid extra at that time.

Accommodation

You will have your own room, shared bathroom with me, great wifi at the house, and a sim card provided so we can keep in touch. Food expenses will be covered by myself, of course.
