Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

We are a Swiss / American family living about 30 minutes away from Zurich in a house in Canton Aargau (in Buchs AG).

We have 1 dog (cocker spaniel mix) and he is very friendly and 2 young children (age 5 and 1). Mom works 50% as a university lecturer in Zurich and dad as a researcher for education 90% in Zurich. Our kids go to school (age 5) and daycare 3x a week (1 year old), but we would still like an au pair to help us with the kids on weekends and also a few times per week during the week. We are ideally looking for someone who speaks French fluently so the kids can learn French too. Mom speaks French (level C1), so it would easy to speak with her in French or we speak English and Swiss German as a family. Dad speaks Swiss German and English bilingually. If you are interested in improving your German or English, you have come to the right place!

Job Description

We are looking for someone to live with our family for 6-18 months, help with the children during the week, some light housework, taking the kids on outings on weekends and helping with meal and bedtime a few times a week. Pocket money would be provided (negotiable!!) on a monthly basis and all meals included. We are a fun, flexible family and we are looking for someone who can speak ideally ONLY French with both kids (and a little English if necessary). Our kids already understand English and Swiss German.
