Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
Originally translated from Deutsch
Dear Au Pair,
We are very happy that you are interested in our family! My name is Anton, and I am a single father of a wonderful 10-month-old daughter, Maya. We live in a beautiful, quiet detached house (approx. 200 m², 6 rooms) with a garden, terrace, and even a swimming pool (suitable for non-swimmers) in Hirten an der Alz, a town with approximately 2,000 inhabitants.
Your room is approximately 18 m², lovingly and comfortably furnished, with a sofa bed, wardrobe, desk, and, if desired, a TV and computer. Wi-Fi is available. The room can be slightly rearranged according to your wishes.
We are looking for a loving, warm, and welcoming au pair who will support us in our daily routine and become a part of our little family. Your main task would be to help us care for Maya for approximately 30 hours per week. Maya is very curious and loves to touch and explore all sorts of everyday objects. She likes to share her "toys" and takes great pleasure in watching you have fun with them for a short while.
Since I'm self-employed and work flexibly from home, we can coordinate times and days together. Another plus is that Maya's mom comes by almost every day to visit Maya, so you can also have some time off. Since Maya is still so small, you'll rarely be alone at home with Maya. There's always someone there to support you.
Warmth, trust, and open communication are important in our family, as is making sure you feel comfortable with us and have a great time here. We look forward to learning more about you and what's important to you.
We will cover all your travel expenses and are happy to support you with a language course. There are several language schools within a 6-15 km radius. Which one is best for you depends on your language level and how much time you want to invest in the course. An online language course is also possible.
Our area is surrounded by nature, making it ideal for au pairs who enjoy the outdoors. There are many nearby destinations, including mountains, lakes, hiking trails, and towns. This area is known for its beautiful day trips and is a popular vacation and recreation area. There are also many bike paths for you to easily explore the area. In the immediate vicinity, a 5-10 minute walk away, you can practice judo, tennis, dance, fitness, step aerobics, walking, or Pilates. Within a 5-15 km radius, there are a wide variety of leisure, sports, and cultural activities.
Nearby towns are Burgkirchen (6 km), Garching (6 km), Altötting (10 km), and Burghausen (15 km), which can be reached by bus in about 10-20 minutes. The bus stop is about a 5-minute walk away, and the bus runs in the morning, at lunchtime, and late afternoon. Train stations are 6-10 km away. This allows you to reach major cities like Munich or Salzburg in about an hour.
If you have a driver's license, we may be able to provide you with a scooter or car. Otherwise, we can provide you with a modern e-bike to ensure you remain flexible and mobile. We are also happy to go on excursions with you, show you our area, or cook together.
We look forward to learning more about you and spending a wonderful time together. If you have any questions or would like to know more about us, please feel free to contact us!
Best regards,
Anton
