Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of 4 living in Burlingame, a small suburb about 30 minutes south of San Francisco. Mike is a doctor, I am a nurse, and our two daughters are 3 and 5. Phoebe is 3 and attends preschool and Evelyn is 5 and attends elementary school. We love to be outdoors, we like exploring new parks, hiking, and having picnics. Burlingame is a really nice town with a cute downtown area with lots of fun shops and restaurants. Burlingame's downtown is about 2 miles from our house, a little far to walk but a very easy bike ride! We also live 2 miles away from a BART station which is the train that will take you into San Francisco.

Job Description

4 days a week you will be getting the kids ready for school and dropping them off, as well as picking them up and any after school activities. Phoebe's school is 9:00-1:00 and Evelyn is 8:30-3:00 so during the day you will have time to yourself. On some days we would also ask you to help get dinner ready as we won't be home until 5:30 from work. We usually work 8:00-5:00. We would ask you to help with light tidying up around the house, mostly just helping to keep the kids stuff organized and put away, and keeping the bathroom clean. And then the occasional nights you would be helping to put them to bed, but only once in a while.

Accommodation

You will have your own bedroom with a twin bed, you will share a bathroom with the two kids. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The two kids share a room. We live on a quiet street in the suburbs, we can walk to parks from our house but being able to ride a bike makes it easy to get to our downtown. You will need to be able to drive to get the kids to and from school and after school activities.
