Dear Au pair,
We invite you to join our family in Cairns to care for our 4 year old daughter
Adelaide, and our 15 month old daughter Elke as well as our 8 year old cavoodle
Ziggy.

Adelaide is a high energy 4 year old who loves swimming, unicorns, Disney, lego
and barbies. She can have big feelings at times when she is tired, but is generally
an outgoing and fun loving girl with a big heart and imagination. Elke is a little water baby who loves swimming and ball games and playing with her big sister. John and I are doctors, I work full time at the hospital and John works part time in retrieval, and frequently travels for work interstate.

At this stage hours will be flexible. Adelaide will be doing daycare 5 days per week
and Elke will be doing daycare 4 days per week, so the average week could consist
of dropping the girls to daycare, picking them up, preparing and giving the girls
dinner, bathing them and putting them to bed. Elke is home on Wednesdays so this day you would care for her. Occasionally you may be required to care for the girls on the weekend if both of us are working. Most days you would have the day to yourself to study or explore the beautiful Cairns area. There may be weeks throughout the year
when John is travelling for work and Madeline is working full time where you may be
relied upon more.

We live in the Redlynch Valley, 10 minutes drive to the shops and a 25 minute drive
from the centre of Cairns. It is a semi rural suburb of Cairns. We live on
an acre block, located on a swimmable river, which is a 15 minute walk to a beautiful
waterfall called Crystal Cascades. The property is surrounded by rainforest and
visited by beautiful wildlife including birds and butterflies. Our plans for this year
include building a chicken coop and vegetable garden, you are welcome to join in
the fun or relax by the pool! Given the distance to Cairns, we will provide you with
your own personal car so you can explore the beauty that this area of Far North
Queensland has to offer, including the reef, rainforest and buzz of Cairns city, and
quaint country charm of the Atherton tablelands.

We are looking for someone who can drive and who is a
non smoker. We also try to limit screen time including mobile phone use around the
kids.
