Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au Pair,

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of our family! We’re really looking forward to welcoming someone warm, responsible, and open-minded into our home.

We are a family of six – two parents and four children – and live in a lively but cozy household full of energy, creativity, and everyday little adventures. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, cooking together, and just enjoying the little things in daily life.

Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood, about 15 minutes by car from the city center. There you’ll find shops, cafes, parks, and plenty of things to explore. The nearest bus stop is just a few minutes away, and the train station can be reached in about 15 minutes by car too.

There is also a language school in the city center, which you can of course attend. We’d be happy to support you in finding the right course so you can improve your German and meet other young people.

We hope to find someone who enjoys spending time with children, is curious about new cultures, and wants to become part of our daily life – not just as a helper, but as a member of our family.

Job Description

At home, we speak English with our children to help them learn the language from an early age. As soon as we leave the house, we switch to German, but we would love for our Au Pair to speak English with the children at home as well.

We are looking for someone who is caring, responsible, and enjoys spending time with children. The job includes helping with everyday tasks like getting the kids ready in the morning, bringing them to school or kindergarten, changing diapers, feeding, and dressing the little ones. We also appreciate someone who enjoys planning small activities or outings with the children.

You will be part of our family, so everything is done in teamwork and within a healthy, balanced rhythm – no one is expected to do everything alone.

Accommodation

We provide a spacious private room of about 25m² with your own bathroom, including a toilet and shower. Our home is located on a beautiful countryside property, and we just moved into our newly built house in 2024. Of course, we have WiFi throughout the house.
