Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Good morning!

Are you looking for an unforgettable experience where you can immerse yourself in the true Italian way of life? Then you might just be the perfect fit for our family!

After years of living in Milan, we chose to embrace a slower, more peaceful lifestyle in a charming village near Milan and Monza. In December 2020, our little Andrea was born, and we wanted to give him the best of both worlds: nature, space to play, and easy access to the vibrant culture of the city.

Our home is a cozy, well-organized single-family house where you’ll have your own private room, high-speed internet, and access to our large collection of books and movies, perfect for unwinding in your free time. We’re well connected to Milan and Monza, with a train station just 2 km away and trains running every 30 minutes.

As part of our family, your main role will be to help with Andrea and light household tasks (we have extra help for the heavy ones!). Andrea is a bright and energetic little boy who attends kindergarten in the mornings, and your key responsibility will be picking him up after lunch and spending quality time with him.

We’d love for you to speak only English with Andrea, while my wife and I will be more than happy to help you learn Italian and dive into our culture. We take this experience seriously and want it to be enriching for both you and us. So far, we’ve hosted eight amazing au pairs from around the world: two from the U.S., one from Norway, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, and Latvia.

Olga is Ukrainian, and I am Italian, and together we can’t wait to welcome you into our home and share this experience with you.

Job Description

What We Expect from You
We are looking for an au pair who is responsible, kind, and eager to be part of our family. Your main role will be to help with Andrea, especially in the afternoons after kindergarten, as well as assisting with light household tasks. We would love for you to speak only English with Andrea to help him develop his language skills in a natural and fun way.

While we expect dedication and reliability, we also believe in balance—you will have plenty of free time to explore, relax, and enjoy your experience in Italy. We value a respectful, open-minded, and proactive attitude, and we hope to create a positive and enriching cultural exchange together.
