We are Sonia, a bilingual English/Italian teacher, and her daughter, Alison, an Italian-American teacher, and we are looking to meet native English speakers who are interested in sharing their culture with us and who are also curious to immerse themselves in our Italian world!

Hello! Sonia writing! I teach English and Italian as second languages. I am a professional CELTA language coach, an expert in "Languages (and cultures) in contact". I am 59, I have traveled the world, and I have been an au pair girl myself! I like to teach in a “hands-on” kind of way, inviting my young learners (ages 6-10) to come and stay at my place, and to cook/play/build/grow food, toys, you name it (!) together!

Hi y’all, nice to meet you! I’m Alison, a 30-year-old Italian-American teacher who has lived and taught in the US, Italy, and Spain. After experiencing an old-fashioned methodology, I’ve decided to try following my mom’s approach- a more authentic, communicative and dynamic way of teaching English. We offer both online and in-person lessons and we teach all ages- kids, teens, and adults alike.

We are inviting you to share this very interesting and enriching experience, which would involve an average of 15 hours of teaching/playing a week, when our kids come to Sonia’s place. The rest of the time you could explore the beautiful and unique little corner of paradise where we live: the northernmost angle of Tuscany, near to beaches, 40 mins from Pisa, one hour from Lucca, and from CINQUE TERRE, and two hours from Florence: all reachable by train.
