Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
I am Sonia, a bilingual English/Italian teacher, I teach English and Italian as second languages. I am a professional CELTA language coach, an expert in "Languages (and cultures) in contact". I am 57, I live with my Italian-American daughter aged 28, together we have traveled the world, and we have been au-pair girls ourselves! She currently also teaches, but mostly online, whereas I still teach "the ol' good way', inviting my young learners (ages 7-10) to come and stay at my place on Saturday (mostly), and to cook/play/build/grow food, toys, you name it (!) together!
So I am inviting you to share this very interesting and enriching experience, which would involve an average of 5 hours of teaching/playing (at weekends), when my Saturday kids come to my place. The rest of the time you could explore the beautiful and unique little corner of paradise where I live: the northernmost angle of Tuscany , near to beaches, 40 mins from Pisa, one hour from Lucca, and from CINQUE TERRE, and two hours from Florence: all reachable by train.
