Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Let me tell you something about us and our loving house full of magic.
We are a very diverse family of 5: Sabina, an eleven-year-old girl born in Spain is about to start her 6th year at school and loves to sing and dance (she dreams of doing it professionally). A total fan of Musically, she enjoys long hours of watching music videos, chatting with her friends, doing Yoga on the Apple TV and playing Just Dance with the Switch.
Vico is a sweet nine-year-old boy, also born in Spain that loves sports (mainly football (soccer and American) and volleyball). He is a huge fan of Greek mythology and loves to read about it. We are currently reading Percy Jackson’s books before bedtime.
Both kids are very independent but at the same time, they enjoy a lot the company, love having friends over and talk for hours with any grown-up available to tell them stories about their lives.

My husband was born in Mexico 42 years ago. He owns a company that teaches kids how to create new technology and is always playing with every new little gadget that could make his students learn better. Me, I’m from Argentina. I’m a writer (mainly fiction) but I also work with essential oils (aromatherapy) as an amazing alternative for physical and emotional health (Which means you'll be well cared for with us ;-) ).
The 4 of us love reading, movies, tv series, enjoying great food and playing board games.
Last, but not least, we have our beautiful dog, Casumi. She’s a year and a half Rodhesian Ridgeback with a big heart that loves to play and receive pampering.

Our kids go to school at La Condesa, one of the nicest areas in Mexico City, very safe, full of people from all around the world and, because of that, with many language schools where you could get some extra Spanish classes.

My husband and I work from home which means that we have very flexible schedules. But we also travel often so we might need your help with our kids' school and extracurricular activities whenever we cannot be there to do it ourselves.

We are looking for someone who would play, talk and sometimes take care of our kids (this includes taking them to their classes) in the afternoon so that they can improve their English in a loving natural way. Also, there will be certain nights that my husband and I will want to go out. Those nights will require you to stay home with the kids.

You'll need to help with everyday house chores and you'll have Sundays and the mornings when kids are at school off to do what you want.

We offer a house full of love, where we eat healthy and delicious (all our food is cooked by someone who works for us). Our house is two blocks away from Bosque de Chapultepec, a huge (almost 700 hectares) beautiful park where you can go running, bike, skate or simply spend some time surrounded by nature. We are very close to Polanco, Condesa, and Roma, three of the nicest neighborhoods in Mexico City. We usually move around walking or with rental bikes. But we have a car to go as far as we want and will love to take you in some trips to show you a lot of Mexico’s beauty not just in the city, but also other cities and towns surrounding it.

So this is us. We are ready to welcome you. You’ll have your own room, fast wifi access and you’d only be sharing your bathroom with the kids. Just tell us what are your favorite Mexican dishes and we’ll have them ready for your arrival!

We’d like for you to stay with us between 6 months and one year, but more importantly, would love to know a bit about yourself and what are your needs so that you’re happy and comfortable with us.
