Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

A letter to those interested in becoming a partner in our family:

Hello! I’m not sure which country you are from, but we sincerely welcome you to China. Our family is located in Changsha, Hunan, which is in the central-southern part of China and is one of the famous tourist cities in the country. Hunan is home to the world-renowned Zhangjiajie, and Changsha is the capital of Hunan Province. Our home is in the city center of Changsha, just a 5-minute walk to the subway, and it takes 30 minutes by subway to the language school. The language school for foreigners is Hunan Normal University, which is a prestigious century-old university in Hunan.

We are in the city center, which is the busiest area for tourism. It takes about an hour to walk, or you can bike directly for 30 minutes, or take the subway for about 10 minutes.

Our family members are quite simple: we, as a couple, and our child, along with the child's grandfather. Every evening, the child's maternal grandparents also come to visit.

The daily work is: in the morning, taking the child to kindergarten, and after class, taking care of the child and playing games and learning English for about 4 hours. On weekends, I also need to take care of the child to play and study for about 9 hours every day.

Job Description

1. There is a single room with a single bed, two shared bathrooms, and a Chinese kitchen available for use (generally, we cook, and you can eat).

2. The child attends classes from Monday to Friday (if they are sick, full-day companionship is needed, and time off will be given). Send the child to class at 7:30 am (transport will be provided), and in the evening, when the child comes home at 6 pm, companionship will start until 9 pm. After 9 pm, we will arrange for the child to wash up.

3. Weekend from 9 AM to 12 PM, lunch at 12 PM, from around 4 PM to around 9 PM, after 9 PM arrange for the child to wash up.
