My husbands schedule is somewhat consistent and he works days, but my schedule varies throughout the year and I currently work evenings.

We’re seeking your help weekdays 7-9am and then 3:30-8pm (stop time is much earlier if the home is well and settled). These times change slightly depending on whether it’s during the school year or during the summer/camp.

More details.—Help them up and ready for school, possible light breakfast (but no worries if not, they are provided breakfast at school and daycare), drop-off at school at 8:45am. Pick-up at 3:45pm, snack, homework, prepare dinner (this can be started during the day if preferred), prepare for next day. We’d prefer someone who genuinely enjoys cooking. Other things we’d need help with are light housekeeping and organizing. Some date nights or weekend hours now and then, but most weekend hours you’re free to enjoy the city or even a short trip. Maybe swap a weekday dinner for a Sunday meal sometimes if you’d like.

Driver’s license not required but must be comfortable walking the children in any Chicago season. As the saying goes — “There’s no bad weather. Only bad clothing.”?? Not to worry. School is on our street, within 5 minutes walking distance and the walk to daycare is 15 minutes. Chicago also has a very well connected transportation system at your fingertips with access to most anywhere in the city by bus or train. Bus stops are a 5 minute walk from the house. If you do have a license, you’ll have access to a shared vehicle for kids appointments or personal use.
