Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi! We're Alix and Mike - Tory and Addison are our children.
We live in Collingwood Ontario! It's a nice town with a lot of outdoor space with access to Toronto via bus (or driving).
We have 2 little girls - 2 and 5.
We're looking for someone who is outgoing and loving that wants to be part of the family.
We also have a friend who has 2 children similar ages next door - so if you are looking to come to Canada with a friend we can help make that happen as well!

Job Description

We need someone for about 6-12 months who wants to work with 2 little girls born October 2019 and August 2022.

We're looking for a female between the ages of 19-24.
Has to love being silly and creative.
Our girls are in Dance and Gymnastics - so has to love being active.
We live just outside of Toronto - in nature but also in a little community but it's very outdoorsy.
Has to enjoy being outside - and willing to take the girls out daily if the weather allows.
Someone who is tidy and can keep the house in order.

Both kids will be in school - except for 3 or 4 weeks over the summer. So we mostly need support with:

- Drop off/pickup some days (so must drive).
- After school care for the kids - doing crafts and playing outside at the park, with chalk etc.
- Swimming is a plus - as we have a pool - but not a necessity.
- One night a week we need overnight care - although this isn't always going to be the case.
- Pick up after the kids toys and clothes
- Do the dishes and the kids laundry
- Stay on top of keeping the house tidy (we have cleaners but general tidiness)
- Help with dinners and meal prep

Number one priority is my kids and making sure they're given the attention they deserve. My husband and I work a lot so we want to make sure that they love the person they are spending time with when it's not us.

We may do trips into Toronto and want someone who wants to explore Canada. We want to help someone see the places they want to see and someone who is interested in the nature as well as the city.

We do live in a town outside of Toronto that is difficult to get to by public transit. We try our best to accommodate to get into the city and let you use the car when needed.

Accommodation

You will have your own room with a king bed and bathroom and after bedtime we typically won't use the basement which is about 1300 sq feet with a big TV and couch.
There is also a gym and of course laundry room etc. for you to use.
