Hello and welcome!

We’re so happy that you’re thinking about joining our family here in Sydney!

Sydney is such an exciting and beautiful place to live — it really has a bit of everything. There are amazing beaches, lovely parks, great shopping, cafes, restaurants, and lots of things to see and do. It’s a big, vibrant city, but at the same time very relaxed and easygoing.

Public transport is super easy to use — buses, trains, and ferries can take you almost everywhere. Whether you want to spend a day at the beach, explore the city, visit markets, or just enjoy the outdoors — everything is pretty accessible here.

As a family, we are very easygoing, open-minded, and we love spending time together — whether it’s going out for dinner, doing little trips, or just relaxing at home. We’re hardworking people but we also enjoy the simple things in life — good food, good company, and a good laugh.

We’re looking forward to welcoming someone who wants to be part of our family — not just help us with a few things here and there, but also share life with us, spend time together, and enjoy the experience.

Job Description

What We’re Looking For

We don’t expect a lot — but we do appreciate someone who is happy to help out where it’s needed and enjoys being part of everyday family life.

It’s important for us that you speak sufficient English, as we would like Adrian to be able to understand you easily and communicate well with you during your time with us.

Here are some of the things we would love your help with:
• Picking up Adrian from kindergarten (it’s close by)
• Light household tasks like tidying up, putting dishes away, folding laundry, or helping keep things neat and clean
• Spending time with Adrian — playing, reading, or just hanging out with him
• Occasionally helping with dinner preparation or setting the table
• Being part of our family — joining us for meals, chatting, spending time together, and being involved in our daily life
• Helping to look after our little kitten Lily (just basic things like feeding or giving her a cuddle)

We’re very flexible and easy to talk to — so if there’s anything you’re unsure about or need help with, we’re always happy to chat.

Most importantly, we want someone who feels comfortable in our home, who enjoys being here, and who is happy to share life with us — not just do a “job.”

Accommodation

You will be living with us in our spacious family home in Sydney, with a small garden and plenty of space to feel comfortable and relaxed.

As our au pair, you’ll have your own large, bright bedroom with a balcony — a lovely spot to enjoy some fresh air or quiet time. You’ll also have your own bathroom, which might occasionally be shared with our son Adrian or any visitors, but most of the time it will be just for you.

The fridge and kitchen are always open for everyone — we love good food and always make sure there’s plenty around for everyone to enjoy.

Free internet/Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. And for a little extra bonus — we also have a sauna and a full-body massage chair, which you’re more than welcome to use whenever you feel like relaxing.

If you hold a valid driver’s license, you’ll also be more than welcome to use our car for outings with Adrian.

Most importantly — we really want you to feel at home here, like part of our family, with a nice mix of privacy, comfort, and spending good times together.
