A very warm welcome to our family! We’re excited to be opening our home and our slightly wild but wonderfully loving little tribe. We know it takes courage to travel and live with a new family, and we hope this letter gives you a little glimpse into what life with us will be like.

We live in Crowborough, a peaceful countryside town about 10-15 minutes from Tunbridge Wells. Our home is surrounded by nature, with playgrounds, stunning walks including the magical Ashdown Forest, home of Winnie the Pooh. It’s a great place to breathe deeply, unwind, and enjoy a slower rhythm of life. There is a train into London that takes 1 hour to get there and the station is about 10/15 min walk.

We’re believers in boundaries and kindness. The children attend a Steiner school, so we keep screen time limited and try to cultivate creativity, imagination, and presence. We’ve got some house rules around sweets and sugar moderation is key and we eat dinner together, it’s time for connection, jokes, and random storytelling.

Aside from becoming a full part of our family, you’ll be:
Fully included on family holidays — all expenses covered
Invited to join meals but not obliged
Encouraged to study or take a course of your choice, I'll pay for it
Offered support with English and even career coaching if that’s of interest

We’d love someone who speaks Spanish, as the kids have learned it and we spent a year in Guatemala. But the most important thing is that you’re kind, responsible, playful, and excited to be here.

You’ll have plenty of time to yourself, and we’ll help you get connected with local au pair groups or anything else you’re interested in. Whether you like quiet walks, exploring the city, language learning, there’s space here for you to be yourself.

The children are with me half of the time with the schedule normally being 5 days with me, 5 days with their mum, then 2 days with me and 2 with their mum. So you would only be expected to work when the children are with me and have lots of time to yourself, study or take on another part-time job if you wish.
