Dear prospective au pair,

We are very happy that you are interested in becoming part of our family! We are a small, welcoming family from Düsseldorf – consisting of our cheerful son Leon (1.5 years old) and us, his parents. We are especially looking forward to welcoming an au pair who will lovingly and happily care for Leon and discover the world with him.

Leon is a bright, curious little boy who is eager to talk, loves to play – both indoors and outdoors – and seeks new adventures every day. Walks, visits to the playground, and shared laughter are part of his daily routine. He is very open and always happy to welcome people who take time for him and explore the world with him.

We live in a beautiful, family-friendly apartment near downtown Düsseldorf – quietly located in a courtyard, with a garden and a small playground right outside. In the surrounding area, you'll find everything you need for a pleasant life: parks like the Zoopark, playgrounds, shops, cafés, restaurants, and excellent public transport connections. The city center is about a 15- to 20-minute walk away. Of course, we've prepared a beautiful, fully equipped room for you to feel at home.

Düsseldorf is one of Germany's most livable cities—a cosmopolitan city with a large international community, exciting cultural offerings, and many opportunities for relaxation and discovery.

Our son goes to daycare during the week. We therefore primarily need support with dropping him off in the morning and picking him up later by tram. We would also appreciate your help in the afternoon with playing, preparing meals, and having dinner together—or even with shorter outings. We all help each other around the house, whether it's doing laundry, cleaning, or shopping—as a team.

We are an international household with roots in Germany, the USA, and Asia. At home, we speak German and English and are open to all cultures. It's important to us that you feel welcome as an au pair and part of our family – not just as a helper, but as someone who lives, laughs, and grows with us.
