Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pairs, We are a very average, down to earth family living in Hungary's second biggest city, Debrecen. My children are 3.5 (girl) and 7 years old (boy). They are both very easy, well behaved and fun. Since my husband works away for extended periods of time, and I work full time, I am looking for someone who will stop me from having to split into two.

Job Description

The main task of our future au pair would be to help with logistics. taking the kids to and from school, which is about a 10 min drive. Driving experience and confidence is very important as you will be responsible for their safety during these times. Other than this, maybe 2 hours of helping tidy / clean around the house or so some shopping, and play in the evening. Not more than 4 hours a day generally. If one gets sick we might need a bit more help with watching them while I work from home. This is only needed for the smaller child, I would love someone who has taught children English and would teach my children. I would like you to have fun with them, love to play and generally be around kids, have patience and not be easily irritated.

Accommodation

You will have your own bedroom and share bath with the family, however a new wing of the house is under construction with bath and 2 more beds, once ready you will move in there. Debrecen is a big lively university with thousands of foreign students, plenty of opportunity to meet new friends and have fun in your free time. We live close to the cente, public transport by 15min and it is quite frequent. We have great shopping and restaurant options, Both my husban and I smoke but only outside the house so this is not an issue for us if you smoke. You will very much be able to have your own space but also be part of our family.
