Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,
Would you like to experience the Netherlands? Play and help out with the kids? Get to know a new culture and be part of our family? We have a pleasant experience with our current au pair. We would like to give you a similar (or better experience). We will do our best to make clear agreements, and consider your wishes.
Your tasks will include to pick up the boys from school and take care of them until the parents arrive from work, prepare simple meals in the evening (3 times a week) and play with the boys.

Job Description

Three days a week the family will count on you. Your main responsibility will look the following: You will pick up Leonard from school at 12 help with lunch (sandwiches) and bring him back to school before 13:15. At 15:15 you will pick up both the kids, prepare dinner for the kids, so they can eat at 17. The parents will arrive around 18:00. The schedule will slightly change when our oldest son will go to school in May. The daily routine written above is the routine when he goes to school.

Accommodation

We live in a row house with a small garden. Your room will be the attic, which is a separate big room under the roof. We live in Dordrecht which is a city of about 110 000 inhabitants and is part of the Rotterdam-Den Haag metropolis. Rotterdam Central station is 14 minutes by train. Amsterdam is 1 hour by train. The most common way of transportation is the bicycle, train and by foot. The day care is a 7 minutes walk, the nearest supermarket is 10 minutes. The night live and cultural activities are in the old center of the city, about 15 minutes by bicycle.
