Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a Dutch family and can use extra help to combine work and family in a relaxed manner. In recent years, we have had several positive experiences with au pairs so we are excited to find our next member of the family. We are looking for an au pair with an open, optimistic and caring character. Above all, we are looking for an "extra family member", not a "servant" :-).

For work reasons, we spent time on Mallorca, 2 weeks in October, 2 months in spring. Ideally we are looking for someone who wants to stay with us from mid/end of august, until june/july 2025. But let's discuss this according also to your plans and wishes. We are looking forward to getting to know you!

Job Description

Most of all, we are looking for an extra family member. So we will not treat you like staff or personal. We make a weekly schedule to share all the tasks that is about the care of the children. We also like to share the household tasks, such as groceries, cooking and some tidying. You should count on about 20 hours of commitment per week. During some of these hours you will be alone with the children, because Letizia and Jetse are not at home. You are flexible on school days between 8:30 and 14:00. The scheduling of days off we make in mutual agreement. And of course 1 full day free per week, if possible 2.

As our work schedule is not so stressed, there is plenty of time for our aupair to engage in her own activities. You could study remote, or do a course in a field you are interested in. We think it brings a good balance if you would have a good plan for the time you are not engaged with the children.

Accommodation

In the Netherlands we live in a spacious house with a garden and you have your own bedroom, approximately 12 m2. The bathroom and the rest of the house are shared. On Mallorca we stay in a spacious apartment, close to the beach. There you also have your own room (approx. 16 m2) and the rest is shared.
