Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello future Au Pair,
if you have an appointment in September just get in touch with me. You have to be in Germany from October.
We are looking for an Au Pair to support us in our daily routine with the children starting this autumn. We have two kids, two boys aged 2 and 7. The youngest one is not yet attending kindergarten. Your primary responsibility would be taking care of the youngest while we are at work. Additionally, you would be responsible for taking the older one to school and occasionally picking him up. He has sports activities twice a week in the afternoons, and it would also be your task to take him to and from these sessions. Some assistance with household chores is also expected. If you can cook, that would be an advantage but is not mandatory.

Our older child is an alert, communicative, friendly, and very playful boy. You should be able to assert yourself as he enjoys discussing things. It is essential that you are very fond of children. Being an Au Pair should not just be a means to come to Germany; you should genuinely like children. Therefore, we are looking for a friendly, open-minded girl who is creative, spontaneous, enjoys laughing, sings with the children, and actively engages in activities with them.

We live in a suburb not far from Heidelberg. We have a very good central public transportation network. The tram runs to the city every 10 minutes, and you can reach Heidelberg within 15 minutes. It takes approximately 45-60 minutes by tram to get to Mannheim. We would prefer if you have at least an A2 level of German, as it significantly facilitates communication. And of course you should already have an appointment at the embassy.

Prepare the older Kid for School, Bringing and pickung from school.
Making food for the smaller kids, feading and playing with him. Laying him down for his noon nap.
Helping making the kitchen clean-wash the dirrty plates, helping tidyup the kids room.
In the afternoon when the kids have no sports you are free and weekends your are free.
