Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a warm, loving family located in Dottikon, Switzerland, and we are looking for a caring and enthusiastic au pair to join our family and help care for our 1-year-old baby, while also contributing to a dynamic household with our loving grandmother and two friendly dogs. We believe in cultural exchange, and we are excited to welcome someone who would love to be a part of our family for 6-12 months.

Job Description

What We’re Looking For:

We would love to find an au pair who is passionate about childcare, enjoys working with infants, and is comfortable with our family dynamic. As we are multilingual, we’d appreciate someone who can help nurture our baby's language development in Italian, English, and Serbian. Additionally, flexibility and kindness are key qualities we are looking for.

Responsibilities:

Caring for the baby, including helping with meals, naps, and playtime
Assisting with light household chores and some meal prep
Taking the dogs for walks and playing with them
Helping Grandma with light activities, if needed

We would prefer someone who is first aid trained, but can also get this organized after you start.

Accommodation

The House: A multi-storey building, gramda has her own flat on the last floor. You would have your own room and bathroom on the ground floor or first floor (depending on preference). The usual stuff like internet/WiFi is of course included. We regularly visit a holiday home in Italy, which you would be welcome to join us for. There are three bathrooms in the house, but none of them are en-suite.
