Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are so excited to introduce our family to you and hope that you’ll consider joining us as our au pair!

We are looking for an au pair primarily for the cultural exchange and to offer some extra company for our oldest daughter. With the arrival of our newborn baby soon, I may be a bit busier looking after her, and we would love for our au pair to become part of the family and spend time with our daughter.

We want to make sure you feel at home here, and we’ll do our best to help you settle into life in Ireland. Job Description

My daughter is at school between 8:30 - 4:30 from Monday to Friday. During the summer she is typically at different activities or summer camps for the morning or part of the afternoon. I typically work from home when my daughter is in school, but will be on maternity leave, so I will be mainly taking care of the baby. We would expect some supervision of art and play activities at home if I am occupied with care for the baby. Afternoons may include trips out at the playground or library.

Accommodation

We have a newly built house, 10 minutes from the sea, 45 minutes from the city centre. It is a nice three-floor house with a garden and three bathrooms. You would have your own large bedroom with a bathroom next door. The street we live on is very safe and quiet. We know most of the neighbours on the street and there is a great community here. We live close the several swimming pools, sailing clubs, restaurants, shops and markets - these are all accessible by walking, cycling or bus.
