Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi and nice to meet you.
We are a happy & active family of 4 living in Bergen, Norway - just 15 minutes from the city centre. We live in a house withe garden, at the edge of a forest overlooking a small fjord in Eidsvåg. A bus stop to town is about 10 minutes walk away and there is a possibility to use a car sometimes.

Job Description

Your tasks would be mostly about the kids - being there when they come home from school, supervising their homework and making sure they do not spend all day looking at screens. You should make some food for them in the morning or afternoons, take them to some of their activities and help them to keep their rooms in order. Other than that you would take part in family chores alongside everyone - gardening, tidying up, occasional shopping or laundry tasks.

It is important for us that you do not do everything for the kids but help them to learn to help themselves so they can be more independent.

We would also like you to occasionally do a full evening of babysitting so that the parents can go out on a date together.
