Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are a family of 5 but only 3 of us live full-time at home now. Our eldest son is 22 and working in London, our daughter is 20 and is studying at university so comes home for holiday and some weekends and then there is myself, my husband and our youngest son, Caz, who is 14. We live in a lovely area in West Sussex, a pretty village, 10 minutes drive from Petersfield and Midhurst and 20 minutes from Chichester. The train to London is one hour direct from Petersfield. It is a wonderful area for active people - miles of cycling tracks, walking, and we are only 30 minutes from the sea (kayaking, windsurfing, surfing etc!).

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can be a great extra pair of hands in family life. For the right candidate there is the potential for extra pay for admin/PA assistance and/or tutoring. The role would include quite a lot of driving so an experienced, reliable driver is essential. Also things like supermarket shopping, simple family cooking, walking the dog, feeding the animals when needed, organizing schedules, keeping kitchen etc tidy and some basic household chores (we have a cleaner so no intensive house work), taking our son to different activities and in an ideal world someone who is happy to and enjoys being active, playing board games, baking/cooking, and most importantly is kind, reliable and organized.

Accommodation

We have a very lovely self-contained annex, separate from the house with own entrance. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and sitting/dining room. Lovely views of the countryside, peaceful, own small terrace with table and chairs. Good WIFI and TV. Car will be provided.
