Welcome to our home! We’re a family of three with two dogs, and we’re so excited to have you join us. We enjoy a wide variety of music, so you’ll always hear something different playing in the background. Both of us work from home most of the time, so there’s usually a relaxed, cozy vibe around here.

We’re a very outdoorsy family and believe it’s important for our little one to spend time outside whenever possible, so you’ll often find us out and about.

We live in a great location with bus stations nearby, and the closest train station is just a 10-minute drive away. We hope you enjoy your time here and feel right at home!

Job Description

As an au pair in our family, you’ll be an integral part of our daily life, helping us with a variety of tasks and supporting us in creating a nurturing and active environment for our little one. Below are the key details of the role and the skills you’ll need:
Primary Responsibilities:
Childcare:
- Help care for our little one, including feeding, dressing, and playing with him.
- Encourage outdoor activities and ensure he’s spending time outside when the weather allows.
- Assist with light educational activities, such as reading, drawing, or simple games to help with learning and development.
- Help with nap times, bedtime routines, and ensuring he has everything he needs throughout the day.

Household Support:
- Light housekeeping related to the child’s care, including tidying up toys, cleaning up after meals
- Help with preparing simple meals and snacks for the child.

Skills Needed:
- Experience with Children: Previous experience caring for children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, or in another role, is essential. A love for kids and a gentle, patient attitude is key.
- Outdoor Enthusiasm: We enjoy spending time outside, so a love for nature and being outdoors is important. You should feel comfortable engaging in outdoor play and encouraging our little one to explore and stay active.
- Basic Cooking Skills: Being able to prepare simple meals and snacks for the child is a valuable skill. No gourmet skills are needed, but the ability to follow recipes and prepare healthy meals is helpful.
- Organisational Skills: You’ll need to be organized, especially with managing the child’s schedule, keeping things tidy, and ensuring activities are planned.
- Good Communication Skills: Since we work from home and want to make sure our routines run smoothly, good communication with the family is crucial. We value open discussions and teamwork.
- Flexibility and Initiative: We value someone who is adaptable, takes initiative, and can help out where needed without being asked. Flexibility to adjust as our family’s needs change will be key.
