Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We live in a village on the border to Slovenia (5 min) and Italy (1 hour) in the South of Austria on a small organic farm with horses, pigs and a dog. The closest town is a 5 min drive away, the next bigger town 45 min, a train station about 5 min.

Our daughter Mia is 2 years old.. The aupairs main duties would be taking care of Mia, play with her, read to her, go for walks...just making sure she's well taken care of. We'd be happy if the aupair helped with some light housework too, however, we're not looking for a maid.

As for activities, the aupair could always ride one of our horses, there is a lake 5 min away for the summer for swimming, there are paddle boards to rent too, there is a mountain for skiing or snowboarding just 10 min away, there are great trails for biking or riding horses...I have a crosstrainer at home too if she would like to do a bit of cardio on a rainy day. There is an option to do yoga in the same room too, it has a great view of the mountains.

The aupair would have her own room with wifi of course and 1-2 days a week off.

Job Description

The aupair should be experienced with childcare, enjoy being around children, be patient and easy going.

We'd like to integreate the aupair into our small family, show her our way of life and also show her a bit of Austria and our culture.

Mutual respect and trust is very important to us and we're looking forward to learning from each other as far as language, culture, cuisines, etc. go.

We have 2 cars and several bikes, so the aupair always has an option of driving a car or riding a bicycle. There is a train station just about 5 min away too.
