Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

We are a small and loving family living in Florianópolis, Brazil. Our family is made up of me, my partner Alex, and our future baby girl, Ayla.

We live in Lagoa da Conceição, one of the most beautiful and well-known areas of Florianópolis. The Lagoa is famous for its peaceful atmosphere, stunning nature, and vibrant local community, with many cafes, restaurants, and outdoor activities. It’s a very safe and relaxed place, surrounded by beaches, mountains, and nature trails.

Our home is close to a bus stop and the Lagoa da Conceição terminal, making it easy to get around the city by public transportation. We are about 20 minutes by car from the city center (downtown Florianópolis) and around 15 minutes from the nearest shopping mall.

We are looking for someone kind, responsible, and who loves children to help care for Ayla and be part of our family’s daily life.

Job Description

We are looking for an au pair or nanny who is proactive, calm, and has experience caring for babies.

The main responsibilities include helping with the baby’s regular daily care and assisting in organizing her things.

It would be a plus if you can drive, but this is not a requirement.

We would love for you to join us on family trips and help us teach important values, encourage independence, and, if possible, share a foreign language with our daughter.

Accommodation

We offer a private suite, separate from the main house, providing comfort and privacy. Our home has Wi-Fi and a backyard with a beautiful view and direct access to the lagoon.

We eat healthy meals and always have fruits and snacks available. We really enjoy typical Brazilian food, but we do not eat meat. However, we have no problem providing meat for the au pair if desired, but we do not cook it ourselves.
