Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a happy family of 3, soon to be 4 (in April). We speak either French or English all together at home, although I speak Russian with my son and am looking for an au-pair who can also speak Russian exclusively with the children. We would love you into our little family.

We live about 5 mins walk from the train station, where trains regularly come and go directly to Paris (40min ride). Our apartment is in the center of Avon and about a 15 minute walk away from Fontainebleau, a very cute lively town with lots of restaurants, cultural activities (the Fontainebleau castle, theatre,...) and the world's best business school (Insead).

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can mainly help with the kids on Wednesdays (there is no school or child-care on Wednesdays in France) and picking up / dropping off the kids at their respective child-care areas, as well as other exceptional situations (when school is cancelled or child-care is closed, sometimes watching the kids on exceptional evenings, etc.)

We are looking for an au-pair who actively stimulates the kids and teaches them Russian, problem-solving, puzzles, math...but also doesn't hesitate to challenge them physically when the opportunity comes.

We would definitely love an au-pair who also loves nature, sports, and ideally climbing! :)

Accommodation

We have an apartment, with an independent studio right across the hall. The separate studio would have everything including a bathroom and kitchen - but of course we you are always welcome in the main flat! The separate studio is mostly because our apartment wouldn't have enough space to live comfortably with us - especially since there will be a baby who may or may not be a good sleeper :)
