We live in a garage which Kristof converted into a small open plan studio ("the garage") and are renovating a house close by ("the house"). You mostly have the house to yourself, sometimes we host friends and family and volunteers that help with the renovation (through Workaway) and they also stay in the house. It has three bedrooms, a bathroom and a temporary kitchen/living area. Off of the roof there's a small terrace that has sun all afternoon and an ocean view. In the garden we have fruit trees and grow some vegetables. The beach is a 2 km walk from the house. The village, Geraldes, has a cafe, bakery, pharmacy, and supermarket, all within a short walk's distance.

Our region:
Peniche is Europe's westernmost city and Portugal's surf capital. It's also a fishing harbor so fish and seafood are always available and deliciously fresh. Around this area you'll find plenty to do, from walking the walls of a medieval city, to stand up paddling in a lagoon, or just plain enjoying a chai latte and vegan cake on a sunny terrace with a good book. The community we're part of is pretty international so you'd also have plenty of opportunities to socialize with people from all different nationalities and backgrounds.
