Dear Au Pair / Granny Au Pair,

We are a family of four living in the countryside near Dresden.

We live with a dog and a tomcat in a large house with a beautiful garden! We have plenty of space for you to have your own space.

But above all, we're looking forward to you becoming part of our family and finding your place among us.

We are a family very close to nature and spend a lot of time together outdoors: we often go for walks in the woods, play and work in the garden, go horseback riding, inline skating, swimming, hiking and climbing, and jumping on the trampoline. On weekends, we like to meet up with friends or visit other cities, or sometimes go camping and canoeing.

The girls hardly ever get bored - they always come up with something! Indoors, they enjoy listening to audiobooks, painting, crafting, free play, or playing board games together. We don't have any computer games. But we love movie nights at home together...

During the work week, our daily routine is very much dominated by work and school, but we always make time for small activities and fun – going out for ice cream, strolling through the park, or romping around on the playground.
Eating together in the evening is also very important to us.
The children go to school in Dresden, so we always drive there on weekdays and return in the afternoon/evening.

If one or both of the children get sick, it's usually chaos, as we don't have any family to support us. In other ways, we're often missing someone in our daily lives to take us on a trip or be there when we're busy with work or want to spend time alone or as a couple.

So, the mornings would mostly be yours to do as you please – unless the children are sick at home.

Regarding weekends and free time, e.g., to get around Germany, we're very open and can discuss everything according to our needs and decide together.

However, it's absolutely essential that you have a driver's license and solid driving skills, and that you feel confident driving here!

Since public transportation is rather poor here, we're happy to lend you a car for your activities and see how you can get there easily.
