Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to our home and family! My name is Paldeep, and I’m a single father from Scotland with two energetic and brilliant young boys, aged 5 and 8. The boy's mother, Herjot lives nearby and has them often. We are on very good terms. You will likely spend time with her and the boys as well on her days. The boys are both full of curiosity and zest for life, and we’re so excited for you to join us on this adventure!

Our one story home is located by a beautiful canal, complete with a large yard and pool where the boys love to play. The boys share a room and love it. We’re also very close the city, West Palm Beach (5 minute car ride) and the beach (also 5 minutes), with fantastic public transport options. There are four language schools nearby, all within 20 minutes. If you ever feel like exploring, the train station is close by, making day trips to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami very easy.

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and ready to embrace the fun and challenges of our lively household. The boys are bright and full of energy, and their unique personalities make every day an adventure. They’re excited to meet you and share their favorite activities, whether it’s pool games, outdoor exploration, or just a cozy movie night. They love just having you around.

We’re looking for someone who can step into a nurturing, motherly role while the boys are at their father’s home. Here’s a snapshot of what your day might look like:

Mornings: You’ll start the day with the boys, helping them wake up, get ready for school, and enjoy a nutritious breakfast. After getting them ready, you’ll drop them off at school around 8am.
Afternoons: Once school’s out, you’ll pick the boys up around 3pm. Your afternoons will be filled with a mix of fun and activities—whether it’s driving them to golf or karate, helping with homework, or engaging in creative play.
Evenings: You’ll help with making dinner, assist with their evening hygiene routines like hair washing and nail trimming, and get them ready for bed.
Additionally, you'll assist with basic housekeeping to keep their play areas and rooms tidy and organized.
Weekends are more flexible and include bringing the boys to an activity or just playing with them and keeping them out of trouble.

Accommodation

We want to make sure you feel comfortable and at home during your stay. You’ll have your own private room featuring a queen-sized bed, a closet, a nightstand, and a couch. The room has a big glass door that offers a lovely view of the beautiful greenery outside, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere.

You’ll also have your own entrance for added privacy, and we’re open to designating a nearby bathroom exclusively for your use if that’s your preference. Our goal is to ensure your space is simple, tidy, and fully accommodating to your needs. Wifi is available throughout the house.
