Dear au pair,

we are looking for you to lovingly look after our daughter in English, because we would like her to grow up bilingual and English to become her second mother tongue.

We can provide you with a car for your language course or leisure time by arrangement. The nearest town with language courses, restaurants and shops is a 5-minute drive away (10 minutes by bike). Düsseldorf and Cologne (both big cities) are 20-25 minutes away by car. Another big city (Neuss) is 20 minutes away by car. There are also public transport options. Our daughter will attend kindergarten in the mornings, so you are welcome to take part in a language course here. We would be happy if you could prepare lunch a few times a week at lunchtime, because our daughter is picked up hungry from kindergarten at 12.30 p.m. We have a Hungarian Vizsla dog called Paul, who is really sweet and likes to go on walks with you and Livia in the afternoons. Our daughter Livia will be 3 years old in July and she is very bright and loves learning new things. She can already count in several languages. You would live in the attic of our house. There you have air conditioning, a large bed, a couch, a work table and a small shower room. We would really appreciate occasional care for our sleeping daughter in the evening when you watch a film, so my husband and I could go out together sometimes :). Of course, you are always welcome to join us on family outings if you like :).
