Dear future aupair, would you like to improve your German language skills, get to know the german culture and be part of our family in Cologne for the next year?

We are a family of 5 and we live with our three kids (Lisa, Raphael and Samuel) in Cologne - a nice cultural really interesting city in western Germany. Cities like Düsseldorf, Bonn, Aachen or Maastricht/ Amsterdam in the Netherlands or Brussels in Belgium with a vaste cultural scene are also close and reachable by train.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:
• Taking the children to and/or picking them up from daycare (by bike, bus, or car)
• Supervising the children if they are unable to attend daycare/school due to illness, for example
• Taking care of the children in the afternoons
• Helping with meal preparation; clearing the table after meals, loading the dishwasher, and tidying up the kitchen and dining area
• Guiding the children to tidy up their rooms in the evening
• Doing the laundry

Accommodation

Our home and your room:

We live in Hürth, right on the city border of Cologne, in a house with a garden. There are many children and several playgrounds in the neighborhood. In Hürth, everything is within walking or biking distance. Within walking distance, there’s a large shopping center with a cinema, restaurants, a library, tennis and hockey clubs, and a fitness studio. The metro is a 5-minute bike ride away and takes you to the Cologne Cathedral/Rhine in about 25 minutes. There are several forests and swimming lakes nearby, all accessible by bike.
You will have your own modern, small, and bright room, and will mostly have your own bathroom as well.
