Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Please only write to us if you already have the A1 language certificate from the Goethe Institute and you are not older than 26 years.

Dear future au pair,

we are Lasse (8 years old), Finn (6 years old), Antje and Sven. We live in Hamburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. We live there in a spacious house (approx. 200 square meters of living space) in the north of the city. It is about a 10-minute walk to the nearest S-Bahn station. The S-Bahn takes you to the city center in 20-25 minutes, depending on where you want to go. Hamburg offers a wide range and is a very green city.

Antje works as a tax consultant, 3 days a week from home and 2 days a week in a nearby law firm. Since she is self-employed, she can organize her time relatively flexibly.

Sven works as a commercial manager for an international group. He is in the office all day, leaves the house around 8:00 a.m. and comes back home around 7:00 p.m.

Lasse will be in third grade from summer 2022. The school is about 10 minutes away by bike. He is at school from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Finn will be attending pre-school from summer 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which is also located in Lasse Elementary School.

We are looking for an au pair who will support us in everyday life. Getting the kids ready in the morning, picking the kids up from school or preschool, taking the kids to sports (hockey, tennis or swimming), taking the kids to friends' or picking them up from friends, and babysitting the kids. Whether playing, handicrafts, reading, everything is part of it.

We have a cleaner who cleans the whole house twice a week for 4 hours. Heavy housework is not part of the activities for our au pair. But vacuuming or folding laundry are part of it.

Antje and Sven have lived abroad for a long time, including in France, China and the USA. That is why we are very open and interested in new cultures. Our children have always grown very fond of the previous au pairs.

We look forward to getting to know you better.

Many greetings

Lasse, Finn, Antje & Sven
