Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

We are looking for an aupair for our little Leonie while we live and explore Spain for ~9 months, and an optional 6 additional months in San Diego, California. But before going to Spain for 9 months we would like you to join us for 2-3 months in Hamburg so Leonie can get used to you before we move so there are not so many changes all at once.

About us:
We’re a warm, welcoming family, nestled right in the heart of the beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany. Our little girl, who is just three, is curious, playful, and full of personality! She’s got a sweet sense of humor and a love for exploring the world around her.

We’re looking for a kind-hearted, responsible au pair who genuinely loves children to become part of our family. Anna and I actually met in California, where she was an au pair herself! Since then, we’ve kept in close touch with her host family, and they feel like an extended family to us. We hope to build the same kind of meaningful, lifelong connection with you.

Our hope is for you to join us here in Hamburg for 2-3 months, a city full of history, charm, and vibrant energy, where you and our daughter can get to know each other. Soon after settling in, we have plans for an extended trip (9 to 16 months) and would love for you to join us and help us with Leonie during this adventure. We’re planning to live in sunny Spain, and sunny San Diego (were Anna and I met and were my family lives) for about 6 months each. And we might spend some time in picturesque Patagonia and Costa Rica too but these last two are not yet 100% confirmed

If you’re ready to travel, become a part of our daily lives, become a big sister to our little Leonie, and help us create wonderful memories for our littler one and us all, we’d love to hear from you.

Warm regards,
Anna, Eric, and our little adventurer

About your new home:

You will always have your own room and space.

San Diego, California: The most beautiful city in the US and also were Anna and I met. We plan to spend the last ~6 months there

We may even extend our trip to include shorter trips to Costa Rica and Patagonia!

It is possible for you to join us during first 9-12 months while we are in Germany and Spain, or during the whole trip including California. We can talk about both options.
