Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family with two daughters which will be aged 1 and and 3.5. We're looking for a warm and caring au-pair with an open-minded and curious approach to life. We are raising our children trilingual (English, German and Farsi) and are looking for an au-pair who speaks fluently either farsi/persian or German to live with us in lovely Australia.

Our children are mannered and we take special care in raising our children in a loving and happy environment.
Our lovely current au pair will unfortunately leave us end of March to start her travel adventures, so we are looking for someone new to become a member of our family.

We live near the beach in south east Melbourne, not too far from the city centre. As a multicultural family with German, Persian and Australian heritage, we look forward to engaging and exchanging in a broad range activities and ideas.

The ideal candidate would be preferably a native speaker in either Farsi (Persian) or alternatively German and be a kind, responsible and trustworthy individual. A reasonable level of English is expected as we speak mostly English at home.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can look after the little ones whilst we are working. You will be working most likely Mondays - Thursdays - meaning you have a long weekend and plenty of time to travel :)

Working hours would be 30-33 hours per week. Your day will start in the morning when we start working and end when one of us finished work. We teach sometimes evening classes, so the working hours may vary on these days.
A typical work day requires you to look after the children, clean up after them, prepare some meals for them and from time to time some light housework.

Accommodation

We live in a lovely house with a garden in the south east of Melbourne. Coffee shops and shops are a 5 min walk away, the beach is only 10 min. walk away. You can take the the metro to the city (station is only 5 min. walking distance) or use one of our bikes to explore the area by yourself. Melbourne is a multicultural hub with people from all over the world and famous for its food and coffee culture.

You will have your own bedroom, consisting a double bed, comfy armchair and wardrobe.
